A lawn care program ensures a lawn is the talk of the neighborhood. The lawn care program keep weeds under control and provides the necessary nutrients to ensure a healthy and hardy lawn. Other services offered include dethatching, aeration, overseeding, and grub control
A lawn care program is a multi step process. The best way to ensure your lawn stays hardy and healthy is to stay on top of weeds and pests, and to provide the nutrients your lawn needs all throughout the season.
Step 1 - Pre-emergent weed control. This step takes place as soon as the snow has melted and is key to controlling germination of potential weeds before the growth season begins.
Step 2 - Weed killer and grub control. As weeds begin to pop up entering growth season, our technicians will spray to kill any and all broadleaf weeds. A grub control product is also applied to ensure lowly grubs do not begin to feast on the roots of your lawn
Step 3 - Summer fertilizer and weed control - During the hot summer month, hardy weeds such crabgrass and dandelions rear their ugly head. Weed control is applied to kill off any new growth and a summer fertilizer is applied to help green up and thicken your lawn.
Step 4 - Fall fertilizer and weed control - Temperatures begin to cool down and late season weeds may creep in. Our final spot spray for any leftover weeds is accompanied with a fall winterization application to encourage deep root growth going into the harsh winter.
Dethatching - Mowing crews will run tines across your lawn before the growing season begins. This loosens up any old compacted lawn clippings, or "thatch." These clippings are then bagged and hauled away. Removal of thatch helps water, air, and lawn applications reach the soil easier and provides a healthier lawn.
Aeration - 3 to 4" plugs are mechanically pulled from your lawn. In doing so, the small holes poked in your lawn relieve the soil of compaction. This gives your grass an easier path to extend roots outward and downward, in turn making it more resilient to heat and drought, as well as more readily apt to absorb nutrients.
